A LOCAL MONOPOLY HAS LANDED IN THE HEART OF TASMANIA

After months of anticipation, the official Hobart MONOPOLY board launches today.
Locals and visitors can now celebrate and honour their region by playing the world’s most popular board game!
Thousands of Hobartians across the region have spent months combing through and carefully selecting the best locations to build the board with, and after serious deliberation, the custom themed squares that will feature in this local edition of Monopoly are:

Brown – Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, and kenvani / Mount Wellington
Light Blue – Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, Mawson’s Huts Museum, and Theatre Royal
Pink – Royal Hobart Golf Club, Blundstone Arena, and Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race
Orange – Hobart Convict Penitentiary, Pennicott Wilderness Journey, and Cascades Female Factory
Red – Franklin Square, Mures Fish Centre, and Salamanca Place
Yellow – Port Arthur Historic Site, Battery Point, and Wrest Point
Green – Salamanca Market, Cascade Brewery, and MONA
Dark Blue – The Henry Jones Art Hotel, and MACq 01 Hotel
Transport – Sullivans Cove Marina, The Shot Tower, MONA Ferry, and Hobart Airport
Community Chest – Hit FM 100.9
The public are invited to meet Mr Monopoly, throw the dice on the giant Hobart Monopoly board, and get their hands on one of the first boards from (time) at Wrest Point today.
